Baseball Update # 3

We had a disappointing day on Sunday. We lost both games to two teams that we have beat in the past. Anyways, we ended up 4th in this tournament.

Mitch played some in the outfield and had a real good at bat in the final inning of the 2nd game. He was proud of himself for that and so were we.

We will start playing in a league next weekend so we will be done with tournaments for a short while.

Now, off to a very disheveled house and a ton of laundry.

Baseball Update # 2

Vandals won both games today. We play tomorrow at noon. Not sure who we are playing. Mitch is discouraged since he isn't getting much playing time. I hope they are just saving him for tomorrow. We will see.

Baseball Update

Vandals played two games yesterday. We lost our first game 9-6 to the Chandler Renagades. Renagades is the team we beat to win the Championship in our last tournament. I have feeling we will be playing them again sometime in this tournament. We won 12-2 against the West Side Diablo's. There are teams from Minnesota and Seattle, but we get to play the Az. teams? I don't get it. It would be fun to play an out of state team.

Ok, it is now 5:34am and I need to go blow dry my hair to be ready to go in about 45 min. It is a good thing I love baseball because I am giving up some good sleep for this.

Have a great day! I will update today's out come later. We play at 8 am and then again later, but we don't know until we are seeded.

What is going on here?

Do you like the new look? Hope it didn't take forever to load.

Tomorrow morning we are headed off to the West Valley for Spring Nationals. Go Vandals!!!

If you don't like the new look, don't say anything. I am very vunerable right about now.

Help

I need help. This lovely little girl is not potty training for me.

She is well over 3 years old and refuses to use the potty. She will go if I drag her there, but she will not go unprompted. I have tried everything I can think of. Stickers, Potty Grab Bag,Special Outings. Nothing. Help. I just don't understand how she can be so smart and yet so slow on this.

Suggestions?

4 Generations

I love having my mom and grandmother living just a few blocks away. I love the fact that my children can ride their bikes to Grandma's house.

We took this picture of the 4 generations a few weeks ago. One place you can not hide age is in the hands.

I will cherish this photo forever.

I guess I could have used Justin's iPod too

Surprise

I have been having some major computer problems and I have figured out a way to post here. My PC needs a new video card and since it is an older computer Fry's Electronics doesn't carry it in stock. We haven't had the extra cash flow to put into it anyways. I moved the Mac out of Mitchell's room and poof...here we are. I can't do much on this machine, but looks like I can blog again. I know you were all missing that!

Ok, I wasn't planning on this working so I am going to find some things to blog about and will be back soon.

Congrats

to Chris for making the Fee's baseball team. Chris had try outs all week and the team was announced today! We are excited to have another ball player in the family.

Congrats to Mitch to passing his Hunter Safety Course!

Great job kiddos. You are making us proud.

Super Bowl Party

We went to a home of friends from baseball to celebrate the Cardinals being in the Superbowl. There were probably close to 50 people there all together and did we have fun.

This is Saifha, our excited and gracious host.
I just love her.

Here is someone else I love. She is a faithful lurker of my blog and I know she has always wanted to be on here. Susan enjoying the game. Look at all that food that was there. We ended up bringing home some chicken wings (which were gone before 9:30) and some pulled pork. I guess my friends know that good food won't go to waste at my home. The boys will eat just about anything.

This backyard was set up for the kids to enjoy the day too.

The game was fun to watch with a disappointing ending for us. The Cardinal Fan doesn't know how to react to losing something this big. It's our first time. I think the Cards played a good, clean game and it was a fun to cheer on the home town. Now if those Suns would give us something to cheer about.....

KURTIS THE STOCK BOY AND BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL

KURTIS THE STOCK BOY AND BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new voice came over the loud speaker asking for a carry out at register 4. Kurtis was almost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to answer the call. As he approached the check-out stand a distant smile caught his eye, the new check-out girl was beautiful. She was an older woman (maybe 26, and he was only 22) and he fell in love. Later that day, after his shift was over, he waited by the punch clock to find out her name. She came into the break room, smiled softly at him, took her card and punched out, then left. He looked at her card, BRENDA. He walked out only to see her start walking up the road. Next day, he waited outside as she left the supermarket, and offered her a ride home. He looked harmless enough, and she accepted.

When he dropped her off, he asked if maybe he could see her again, outside of work. She simply said it wasn't possible. He pressed and she explained she had two children and she couldn't afford a baby-sitter, so he offered to pay for the baby-sitter. Reluctantly she accepted his offer for a date for the following Saturday. That Saturday night he arrived at her door only to have her tell him that she was unable to go with him. The baby-sitter had called and canceled. To which Kurtis simply said, "Well, let's take the kids with us." She tried to explain that taking the children was not an option, but again not taking no for an answer, he pressed. Finally Brenda, brought him inside to meet her children. She had an older daughter who was just as cute as a bug, Kurtis thought, then Brenda brought out her son, in a wheelchair. He was born a paraplegic with Down Syndrome. Kurtis asked Brenda, "I still don't understand why the kids can't come with us?" Brenda was amazed. Most men would run away from a woman with two kids, especially if one had disabilities -just like her first husband and father of her children had done. Kurtis was not ordinary - - - he had a different mindset. That evening Kurtis and Brenda loaded up the kids, went to dinner and the movies. When her son needed anything Kurtis would take care of him. When he needed to use the restroom, he picked him up out of his wheelchair, took him and brought him back. The kids loved Kurtis. At the end of the evening, Brenda knew this was the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life with. A year later, they were married and Kurtis adopted both of her children. Since then they have added two more kids. So what happened to Kurtis the stock boy at a grocery store in Cedar Falls/Waterloo, IA and Brenda the check-out girl?

Well, Mr. & Mrs. Kurt Warner now live in Arizona , where he is currently employed as the quarterback of the National Football League Arizona Cardinals and has his Cardinals in the Super Bowl. Is this a surprise ending or could you have guessed that he was not an ordinary person. It should be noted that he also quarterbacked the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI. He has also been the NFL's Most Valuable Player twice and the Super Bowl's Most Valuable Player.

****Kurt is one of the good guys and I wish him and the Cardinals all the best on Sunday. Go Cards!!!

Fresh and Easy

Have you tried this store yet? It has been around town for a few years, but I made my first trip the other day.

I found this great deal on the Grill Pack and was amazed. We cooked all of it for dinner and there is three pieces of chicken, one hamburger and 1/2 of sausage left for lunches tomorrow. All for $5.99. Amazing!!!
The sale goes through this weekend. I think we will be getting a few more and sticking them in the deep freeze.
I also got a coupon in the mail today from Fresh and Easy for $6.00 off $30. 00. I could get 7 packets of meat or 35lbs for $24.00 plus tax. Not bad, for as much as my boys eat!

A funny find

We came across this little nugget the other night when we were looking thru the home computer. Thankfully, I found lots of photos I thought I had lost, but I guess I had uploaded to that computer too. :) Anyways, you have to watch and don't blink or you might miss it.

Happy Birthday Big Boy!!!

I can't believe my baby boy is 11 years old today. Where on earth does the time go?

Oh My Gosh....we were way to young to have three children already. I remember the Dr. saying..."It's a boy...a BIG boy." I was so sure that I was having a girl. Ha, Ha. I also remember having a thought for just a split second that I was never going to be a mother to a girl.....well, we all know how that turned out.

Here is Mitchell at his 1st birthday. I made him a Winnie the Pooh cake from a cake mold I borrowed from Katy W.

I loved Mitch's fly away hair!!!

This was a common look for Mitchell for a while. Cowboy boots, shorts and his bucket hat! A lot of the times sun glasses were involved also.

Mitchell is a great little brother and an even better big brother! I love his zany sense of humor and his easy going personality.

Happy Birthday big guy. I love you
