Bubbles
Today Grace and I went over to Moms to play bubbles. Justin had a bubble machine in his Easter basket so Grace has been asking for bubbles ever since. No, Justin was not wanting a bubble maker, but I knew Grace would like it. Anyways, I found bubbles on sale at Albertson's for $1.25. Grace didn't want a thing to do with the bubble maker, only the wand from inside the bubbles. Children. I can't seem to leave the house with out my camera anymore and I'm always wanting to take pictures. Mom helped Grace while I snapped away.
I then had to take a picture of the hibiscus.
We have been in a dark cloudy funk for most of the week. I hope this weekend is very restful and fun for us. We have a birthday party tomorrow afternoon and then a baseball game tomorrow night. Have a good weekend everyone.

Easter Trivia
A Very Rare Easter...
This year, Easter will be celebrated on Sunday March 23rd and it will be among the rarest of Easter's as the date of Easter this year is the earliest Easter will be celebrated in the entire lifetime of virtually everyone living on the planet today.
The last time Easter was celebrated on March 23rd was in the year 1913 which means that only those who are 95 years or older would have previously experienced Easter on March 23rd. The next time Easter will be celebrated on March 23rd will be 220 years from now in the year 2228.
The very earliest date that Easter can be celebrated on is March 22nd which last happened in 1818 and Easter won't be celebrated again on March 22nd for another 277 years when Easter Sunday will fall on March 22, 2285.
So now you know why on Sunday March 23, 2008 we will be celebrating one of rarest Easter's of all time.
I did not do any fact checking on this. If this is incorrect, I apologize.

Matchbox 20 Concert
Last night Shelley,Danni and I went to see Dave Matthew Matchbox 20 in concert. I knew who we were seeing, but I kept on calling Rob Thomas (lead singer of MB20) Dave. I would have been disappointed if Dave came out, because Rob R.O.C.K.E.D.
After a slight navigational error, we arrived at Cricket Pavilion around 6:30 and were in our seats when Mute Math( I know, I've never heard of them either), started their show. They only played a short while before Alanis Morissette took the stage.
Alanis played for a good hour and it was a good show to watch. Shelley wondered if she had an hours worth of material to sing, she did.
After a short intermission Matchbox 20 took the stage and rocked the house. They opened with their new song How Far We've Come and it was awesome.
At one point Rob asked all of us to open up our cell phones and rock with him. Too funny.
I don't believe I will be able to listen to MB 20 again without hearing the voice of the drunk lady behind me. I paid to see Rob sing, but she was an added bonus. She acted like she never heard of the cell phone thing because she was prepared to sway with her lighter. I called her old school.
Shelley and Danni, I had a blast with you two. Let's do it again soon. Shelley got us out of the parking lot in record speed and even had me home well before midnight.

Spring in the desert....
We went to Grandma and Grandpa Jake's today. Grandma called yesterday and asked if we would like to come up this weekend since we won't be going on Easter. She told me the flowers were blooming in the desert so I got my camera ready and off we went. Grandma was right, the flowers were blooming.
Grandpa made us Frito Pie for lunch and boy was it good. Toby was ready for a nap after lunch so Grace, Chris, Mitch and I went outside to take more pictures. It was cold today so I enjoyed it since I know it will be getting hot very shortly.
We enjoyed ourselves as usual and will be going back again soon. I want more flower pictures.

Spring Break
We have been on spring break since last Friday and I am sure loving it. The weather has been perfect, not to hot and not cold at all. Grace has spent many of hours outside playing with her toys and the boys have been playing all kinds of sports. They like to go across the street and play basketball with her "real" hoop. Nothing to exciting is happening. Justin and Grace are playing in the doll house outside. He is helping her pick "flowers" a.k.a weeds and bringing them in for me to smell. He is so cute with her.
My telephoto lens came the other day so I have been practicing for baseball season. So that is the reason for all the photos.

Fun Movie Meme
I'm done...I'm giving the answers to the last few. Thanks for playing. I have been linked to from other sites which is always fun. Look for new posts tomorrow.
Update!!! All but two of my movies has been guessed correctly(which happen to be #1 and #10). The others are Toby so you have to think about his goofy sense of humor.
I saw this on Shelley's blog and it looked like fun. I even guessed one of her's correctly! Mine has a twist, Toby has included some of his favorite quotes! We have very different tastes in movies. Sorry Mom, this is rated PG 13 or maybe even R.
Ok, the rules:
1. Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDB and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. No Googling or IMDB-ing. That's cheating, and that's no fun!
6. One guess per person on the first go-round, please. Give everyone a chance!
Here are the quotes:
1. She's got every thing going for her. He's going for her with every thing he's got.
This one is from my all time favorite Say Anything.
2. Oh, bite your tongue! The only throne I want her sitting on is the one I have to clean everyday. Looks like Mom_of_kmbl, who I think is my sister, is correct. Ever After is a classic.
3.There's gotta be a hundred years of law experience sitting at this very table. My staff has flunked the bar exam six times.
Mom, who never was a doofus, got this one right! I love Matt Damon and The Rainmaker.
4. I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.
I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man.
5.I see you got fat.
I see you still look like a fifteen year old girl, but not hot.
Annie Pants guessed right with Blades of Glory.
6.Why shouldn't I work for the N.S.A.? That's a tough one, but I'll take a shot. Say I'm working at N.S.A. Somebody puts a code on my desk, something nobody else can break. Maybe I take a shot at it and maybe I break it. And I'm real happy with myself, 'cause I did my job well. But maybe that code was the location of some rebel army in North Africa or the Middle East. Once they have that location, they bomb the village where the rebels were hiding and fifteen hundred people I never met, never had a no problem with get killed. Now the politicians are sayin', "Oh, Send in the marines to secure the area" 'cause they don't give a shit. It won't be their kid over there, gettin' shot. Just like it wasn't them when their number got called, 'cause they were pullin' a tour in the National Guard. It'll be some kid from Southie takin' shrapnel in the ass. And he comes back to find that the plant he used to work at got exported to the country he just got back from. And the guy who put the shrapnel in his ass got his old job, 'cause he'll work for fifteen cents a day and no bathroom breaks. Meanwhile he realizes the only reason he was over there in the first place was so we could install a government that would sell us oil at a good price. And of course the oil companies used the skirmish over there to scare up domestic oil prices. A cute little ancillary benefit for them, but it ain't helping my buddy at two-fifty a gallon. And they're takin' their sweet time bringin' the oil back of course, and maybe even took the liberty of hiring an alcoholic skipper who likes to drink martinis and fuckin' play slalom with the icebergs, and it ain't too long 'til he hits one, spills the oil and kills all the sea life in the North Atlantic. So now my buddy's out of work and he can't afford to drive, so he's got to walk to the fuckin' job interviews, which sucks 'cause the shrapnel in his ass is givin' him chronic hemorrhoids. And meanwhile he's starvin' 'cause every time he tries to get a bite to eat the only blue plate special they're servin' is North Atlantic scrod with Quaker State. So what did I think? I'm holdin' out for somethin' better. I figure fuck it, while I'm at it why not just shoot my buddy, take his job, give it to his sworn enemy, hike up gas prices, bomb a village, club a baby seal, hit the hash pipe and join the National Guard? I could be elected president. Sheri and Ian guessed correctly with Good Will Hunting. Excellent movie!
7. You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?
No... because snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like.
Well that might be your problem, it's not what you like, it's the consumer.
Correct again Ian, Joe Dirt .
8. I've set my laser from stun to kill.
Oh, great. If anyone attacks we can blink em' to death.
Shelley is right, it's Toy Story.
9. You're killing me Smalls!
Good Job Mitchell for guessing Sandlot...you just watched this so you better have guessed correctly.
10.Childhood is what you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome.
Queen Of My Domain is right....Hope Floates

Things
Mitchell went back to school today...yeah! I know he still feels a little punk because of the coughing, but he doesn't have a fever and wants to be active, so off he goes.
I just finished watching
In this charming contemporary musical helmed by John Carney, a street musician (Glen Hansard) in Dublin, Ireland, strikes up a friendship with a migrant street hawker (Marketa Irglova). Over the course of a busy week, they compose, rehearse and record a series of songs that mirror the duo's burgeoning romance..and help the young busker release his musical passions. The actors wrote the tunes they perform in this film that was recognized at Sundance 2007.....or at least that is what Netflix said. This movie also won an Oscar for the best song. I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the music so much I just went to I tunes and bought the album. It is rated R because they do like to say the "f" word alot which is a shame because it doesn't add a thing to the movie and it would be the only reason for that rating. Christi, have you seen this? I know you love movies and music, if not go rent it.
It's Here It's Here...One load down only 999 more to go!....I am at home again today because Home Depot has said they would bring my new washer to me!!!
I can't wait to get some of the laundry done. Our washer broke last Wednesday night so you can imagine what my dirty clothes pile looks like. Thanks to Mom for letting us come over this weekend and get a few loads done. I love having my mommy so close!
Chris has a baseball game this afternoon and I hope I can get some good pictures. I started to really try to figure out photoshop and this is my very first "edit". I know where I need to still fine tune things, but I had still had fun learning new things. Here is the before and the after.
I hope you are finding your way over to CF Husband's blog and today is no different. He has posted a video of his wife Tricia holding her baby girl, Gwyneth, for the first time. Beautiful. Take 5 min and watch this video and then go thank God for all the miracles in your life.

Round 2
:::UPDATE::: The good news is it is not strep, the bad news is it's not strep!
I just received this email from Mitchell's teacher:
Dear Parents,
Sadly, we have 9 children absent today due to illness. There seems to be a nasty bug going around that causes, fever, sore throat, coughing, headaches and exhaustion. Mrs. Newburgh and I constantly remind our students to wash hands and cover-up when coughing but it’s still not enough. Please remind your children to drink lots of fluids and perhaps stock up on some vitamin C. To those of you who are home sick, we hope you feel better soon.
Mitchell is still in his bed with a fever and bad cough. We are about to start to get ready to take him to the dr....again. I'm so over with this cold/flu season. How about you?
