Paybacks

About 18 years ago my parents bought themselves a new car. They were kind enough to let their teenage daughter take it out for awhile. That teenage daughter decided to get something to drink at Jack in the Box and after placing her order she pulled forward, however, not before she scraped the driver side door against a pole. That teenage daughter felt really bad and it was hard for her to see the disappointment on her parents face. There was no punishment involved, just the look of disappointed faces were enough.

Fast forward to present day and see what payback is. The aforementioned teenage daughter is now a parent herself of a teenager. This teenager will be eligible for his driving permit in 5 months. His parents however feel that more the practice the better so they let him drive to and from Grandma's house, which is about 8 blocks and in the same neighborhood, often. Yesterday this teenager's parents let him drive on the "country" roads out at his other grandparents house where traffic is none. When said teenager returned to his grandparents home his father instructed him to pull into the drive way which has a gate and is half closed. Father gave teenager the all ok to pull through and this is what happened.

Teenager and teenager parents are o.k. Just remember folks, paybacks are a .......

Oh my God, that hurt my retinas to see the damage!!
I think we (and they) all have to get at least 1 scrape under their belts, it puts a little fear in 'em.
I'm glad he was fine, probably just bruised his ego a little.

Awww, poor Justin. And your poor van too. I'm not looking forward to Danni's "one little scrape". Oh well, not like my van looks new or anything right? 'Specially from the driver's side. How lucky are you right now, that Toby works where he does?

I tagged you for a meme on my blog. Don't hate me.
